Bio:
Abigail Bockus, PhD, works with the Aquatic Nutrition Team at BFTC. BFTC has the capacity to produce research-scale batches of extruded feed. Recently, Bockus and her colleagues have been working on an open-source formulation for urchin feed in the US. Previous work has focused on developing a diet for purple urchin (Strongylocentrotus purpuratus) culture on the west coast. This has included studies testing ingredient selection, nutrient targets, and ingredients/additives to promote high-market-value uni.
